Conceal Carry Academy and Concealed Carry in Texas are owned and operated by an instructor duo Gary and Julie Parks. Gary is a Certified NRA Instructor with knowledge of multiple firearms disciplines. He is retired US Army, having conducted many operations through out the world. He retired after serving years as Army Drill Sergeant and Senior Drill Sergeant. He has trained thousands of soldiers, young and old, male and female, through out his career. After retiring from the Army, he continued public service as a police officer. Through his time as a police officer he continued to train his fellow officers.
Now retired from law enforcement, Gary continues to remember his brothers and sisters and lives by the rule “Never Forget”. Throughout the years Gary has been in leadership positions, including Commander, in multiple Veteran Organizations. Even though he is no longer in leadership positions in mainstream Veteran Organizations (DAV, VFW). He still takes time out to help any Veteran he can. He takes it to heart and exceptional pride when assisting fellow veterans. He has assisted many veterans with there at home issues, coordinating fundraisers, etc. to get homes remodeled, ramps built, and many grass root endeavors.
In his other free time he spends time coaching his grandchildren and their peers in 4-H shooting sports, to include Archery, Airsoft, 22 Caliber, and Shotgun sports. When not coaching, he continues to train future gun owners in safe proper handling of firearms.
